Six Berkeley restaurants on Durant and University avenues were burglarized early Thursday morning between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., with shattered windows and signs of forced entry reported at I.B.’s, King Pin Donuts, Gypsy’s Trattoria Italiana, Café Rio, IMM Thai, and Bobby G’s. Police are treating the incidents as related, though no suspects have been identified and details on stolen items or damages remain undisclosed. A separate break-in on Carleton Street is not believed to be connected. Authorities are urging witnesses or those with surveillance footage to contact the Property Crimes Unit.
