Sei Young Kim tied the BMW Ladies Championship record with a 10-under 62 in the opening round, matching Ashleigh Buhai’s 2023 mark, as she birdied eight holes and eagled the sixth, hitting 12 of 14 fairways and 17 of 18 greens. Her compatriot Hyo Joo Kim also shot 62, while Lindy Duncan posted an 8-under 64, her best LPGA score since 2019, and made a hole-in-one. Brooke Matthews, Chanettee Wannasaen, and Rio Takeda tied for fourth at 7-under. Defending champion Hannah Green eagled the 17th, and Lucy Li made a hole-in-one, both finishing at 4-under. Multiple players reached every green in regulation.
