Nissan has recalled over 13,000 pre-facelift, petrol-only Qashqai SUVs in Australia due to a manufacturing defect causing a fuel pipe to potentially chafe against a support bracket, risking fuel leaks. If fuel leaks and contacts an ignition source, it could cause a vehicle fire or loss of power while driving, increasing the risk of injury, death, or property damage. The recall applies only to non-hybrid models. Affected owners will be notified by mail and can get free repairs at authorized dealers.
