A man from Oklahoma was arrested in Nebraska for stalking and trespassing after allegedly contacting a student via social media and ignoring warnings to stay away.
Alexander Sanchez, 34, of Norman, Oklahoma, was arrested in Lincoln, Nebraska, on stalking and trespassing charges after traveling from Oklahoma to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.
Authorities say he claimed a student invited him via Snapchat and TikTok, but she denied knowing him or sending invitations.
Sanchez was warned not to return after being identified as unaffiliated with the university, yet continued contacting the victim through multiple social media accounts.
He was taken into custody on October 15 and remains in jail on a $40,000 bond.
He has pleaded not guilty, with a November 17 court date scheduled.
