Kano State has sued former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, his sons, a legal practitioner, and Dala Inland Dry Port Limited over allegations of misappropriating about ₦4.49 billion and transferring the state’s 20% stake to a shell company, City Green Enterprise. The lawsuit, filed October 13, 2025, accuses defendants of conspiracy, breach of trust, and fraud, claiming public funds were diverted to benefit private interests through infrastructure projects at the dry port. Evidence includes forged documents, a ₦750 million transaction via Safari Textile Ltd, and historical policy records confirming the state’s original equity. The case, assigned to Justice Yusuf Ubale, seeks recovery of assets and funds, with no trial date set.
