The Cosmo Foundation and India’s BSF planted 15,000 native trees in New Delhi using eco-friendly methods, expanding a green initiative started in 2024.
The Cosmo Foundation and India’s Border Security Force (BSF) launched a tree-planting initiative at BSF’s Chhawla campus in New Delhi, aiming to plant 15,000 native trees using Miyawaki and fruit-bearing forestry methods.
The project, supported by the Prayas Youth Foundation and backed by infrastructure from Cosmo Foundation, expands on last year’s 7,500 saplings.
It includes long-term maintenance by BSF and focuses on biodiversity, rainwater harvesting, and sustainable urban green spaces.
The effort is part of Cosmo Foundation’s broader environmental mission, which has planted over 160,000 trees across multiple states since 2008.
