Congress accuses BJP MP’s wife of unexplained wealth rise from ₹50L to ₹32Cr, citing Lokpal probe.

Congress leader Supriya Shrinate accused BJP MP Nishikant Dubey’s wife, Anamika Gautam, of a disproportionate asset increase from ₹50 lakh in 2009 to around ₹31–32 crore by 2024, citing a Lokpal complaint filed on May 24, 2025. She questioned the source of funds, including a ₹1.2 crore loan from Abhishek Jha, who denied lending the money. The Lokpal has directed Dubey to respond within four weeks, but it remains unclear if he has done so. The BJP, through Amit Malviya, criticized the timing of the Congress press conference and noted the complainant’s absence from a Lokpal hearing, suggesting political motives. The case remains under judicial review.
