Ace Frehley, the original lead guitarist and founding member of Kiss, has died at 74 following a fall at his home in Morristown, New Jersey.
Known as the "Spaceman," he was a key figure in the band’s iconic 1970s image, famed for his elaborate stage effects, pyrotechnics, and signature guitar work.
Kiss, which also included Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Peter Criss, rose to global fame with hits like "Rock and Roll All Nite" and "Detroit Rock City," selling millions of records and earning a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2014.
Frehley is the first of the original four members to pass away.
Stanley and Simmons expressed deep sorrow, calling him essential to the band’s legacy.
