A three-alarm fire at a San Francisco construction site injured three firefighters; no civilians were harmed.
A three-alarm fire broke out Wednesday morning, October 15, 2025, in a three-story building under construction in San Francisco’s Marina District, specifically at 2500 Chestnut Street.
The blaze, which began on the second floor at 4:15 a.m., spread to the third floor and an adjacent structure, prompting a response from 145 firefighters.
During the operation, three firefighters were injured—two fell from the third to the second floor and were hospitalized with stable conditions, while a third sustained a wrist injury and was treated on-site.
No occupants were inside the building, and no civilian injuries were reported.
Neighboring residents were evacuated but allowed to return by 6 a.m.
