Sunotec has secured financing for seven large-scale battery storage projects in Bulgaria, totaling 115 MWp of solar and 763 MWh of storage, as part of its shift to long-term energy investment.
The projects, including co-located solar-BESS and standalone BESS systems, are owned by Sunotec or its joint venture Solaris Holding.
Six standalone BESS projects received approval for subsidies under Bulgaria’s Restore programme, supporting grid stability and decarbonization.
The expansion builds on Sunotec’s existing operational sites in Pernik, Verinsko, and Selanovtsi, solidifying its role as a key player in Bulgaria’s clean energy transition.
