Sun PhuQuoc Airways launched on Oct. 15, 2025, with plans to begin flights Nov. 1, aiming to boost tourism on Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways, Vietnam’s first island-named airline, launched on October 15, 2025, with plans to begin commercial flights on November 1.
Backed by Sun Group, the new “resort airline” aims to boost tourism in Phu Quoc, now a special administrative zone set to host the 2027 APEC Summit.
It received regulatory approval in September, operates three Airbus A321 aircraft, and plans to expand to 30–35 planes by 2027.
The airline will initially serve domestic routes between Phu Quoc and major cities, with future international expansion to Asia and beyond.
It is part of a larger $95 million investment to strengthen Phu Quoc’s tourism and aviation infrastructure.
