Starting November 3, 2025, Tennessee’s Department of Corrections will replace physical inmate mail with a digital system.
All personal letters and allowed items must be sent to a central processing center in Phoenix, Maryland, where they will be scanned and delivered via tablets to inmates.
Senders can track mail and receive rejection alerts.
Privileged mail remains unaffected.
Physical mail sent to TDOC facilities after that date will be returned.
