The company challenged the decision in the Federal Court, citing procedural fairness issues, and plans to explore alternative storage options. It highlights the project’s potential for over 750 jobs and $366 million in royalties. A hearing is set for December 10–12, 2025. Local officials met with Environment Minister Murray Watt in September but were told the order won’t be reviewed during ongoing court proceedings.
