Phillip Shearin arrested in NC for stealing metal and appliances, selling them to recyclers.
Phillip Shearin, 37, of Vanceboro, was arrested on October 13 in Craven County, North Carolina, on two felony larceny charges and one count of obtaining property by false pretense.
Authorities say he stole metals, mower blades, a refrigerator, and a generator in two incidents near Vanceboro on September 29 and October 9, using a 2012 black Nissan Altima and selling some items to recycling facilities.
He is being held at the Craven County Confinement Facility, with bond set for October 15.
Separately, Sheriff Chip Hughes announced 30 arrests in drug and gun operations, resulting in the seizure of drugs, firearms, and cash.
