The funds will be distributed through a subgrant program offering up to $100,000 to restore motels, gas stations, trading posts, and civic buildings in rural communities.
The initiative aims to boost tourism, create jobs, and preserve the corridor’s cultural heritage ahead of Route 66’s centennial.
