The Los Angeles Kings reacquired goaltender Pheonix Copley from the Tampa Bay Lightning in a trade for future considerations, bringing back the 33-year-old veteran who was claimed off waivers by Tampa on October 2.
Copley, who previously played for the Kings, spent last season in the AHL with Ontario, posting a 24-17-1 record, 2.49 GAA, and .904 save percentage.
He has 77 NHL games (69 starts) over his career with a 44-16-8 record, 2.84 GAA, and .898 save percentage.
The move comes amid injuries to key players, with Copley expected to back up Anton Forsberg as the Kings prepare for a road trip.
