Katja Mia begins hosting RTÉ 2FM’s weekend morning show on October 18, 2025, replacing Bláthnaid Treacy on temporary leave.

Katja Mia, a Burundian-Irish TV presenter known for The Six O’Clock Show and Ireland AM, will debut on RTÉ 2FM this weekend, hosting the weekend morning show from 9am to 12pm on Saturdays and Sundays. She takes over for Bláthnaid Treacy, who is on maternity leave, for six months. Mia, a 2018 Maynooth University graduate, will bring music, competitions, and fun segments like What’s Wrong With Ye? and the Pamper Hamper giveaway. RTÉ 2FM’s Dan Healy praised her as a rising talent, and her debut is set for Saturday, October 18, 2025.
