Italy's trade surplus widened to €2.05 billion in August 2025, up from €1.34 billion a year earlier, as imports fell faster than exports. Exports dipped 1.1% year-on-year, while imports dropped 3.0%. Excluding energy, the surplus reached €5.5 billion.
