Ford launches 2026 Mustang RTR, a high-performance model co-developed with Vaughn Gittin Jr., featuring enhanced power, handling, and drift-focused tech.
Ford has launched the 2026 Mustang RTR, a factory-built performance variant co-developed with pro drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr., based on the EcoBoost Fastback.
It features a 2.3-liter turbo engine producing 315 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque, with an optional upgrade to 350 hp and 400 lb-ft. Key upgrades include Brembo brakes, anti-lag technology from the Ford GT, a stiffer rear subframe, anti-roll bars, MagneRide dampers, and a valved exhaust.
The RTR includes an Electronic Drift Brake, Track Mode stability control, and enhanced steering for oversteer management.
Styling features a GT front fascia, illuminated grille, 19-inch wheels, and lime green interior accents.
Available only with an automatic transmission, it’s designed for track and drift enthusiasts, with U.S. orders starting in spring and deliveries by summer.
Pricing has not yet been announced.
