DEME's new Norse Wind vessel, designed for massive offshore wind turbines, begins operations in 2026.
DEME has taken delivery of its new wind turbine installation vessel, Norse Wind, at CIMC Raffles Shipyard, designed to install next-generation offshore wind turbines with rotor diameters over 300 meters and monopiles up to 3,000 tons.
The 3,200-ton crane vessel, capable of operating in waters up to 70 meters deep, is set to begin operations in early 2026.
It is already committed to major European wind projects and part of DEME’s growing fleet, including sister vessel Norse Energi, scheduled for delivery in early 2026.
The company also secured contracts for Germany’s Nordseecluster B and Taiwan’s Formosa 4 offshore wind farms, reinforcing its global leadership in offshore wind infrastructure.
