Delhi High Court weighs validity of Sunjay Kapur’s 2025 will leaving ₹30,000 crore to his third wife, challenged by his children over alleged forgery and errors.
The Delhi High Court heard arguments over the validity of a will dated March 21, 2025, left by late industrialist Sunjay Kapur, which leaves his ₹30,000 crore estate to his third wife, Priya Kapur.
His children from a previous marriage, Samaira and Kiaan Kapoor, challenge the will, alleging forgery and errors like incorrect gender references and spelling mistakes.
Priya’s legal team, led by senior advocate Rajiv Nayar, argued these flaws do not invalidate the will, noting proper execution, witness credentials, and that the children were aware of the will’s existence since July 30, 2025, yet never formally contested it.
The court is assessing whether technical errors undermine the will’s legal force, with no ruling yet issued.
