Bihar police seized ₹1.28 crore in assets and 221 illegal weapons on Oct. 16, part of ongoing crackdown ahead of Nov. 6–11 elections.
Enforcement agencies in Bihar have seized assets worth ₹37.14 crore since the Model Code of Conduct began ahead of the state’s November 6 and 11 Assembly elections, including liquor, narcotics, cash, precious metals, and freebies.
On October 16 alone, they confiscated items valued at ₹1.284 crore, along with 221 illegal weapons, 1,487 cartridges, five explosives, and 14 illegal weapon manufacturing sites.
Over 798 weapon licenses were canceled, and 669 weapons seized, with 33.3% of licensed weapons deposited.
Joint operations continue to prevent money power and inducements, as nominations for the first phase close on October 17 and the second on October 20.
