Thailand's aviation safety score soared to 91.35%, surpassing global average, after major improvements since 2015.
Thailand’s Civil Aviation Authority achieved a preliminary safety oversight score of 91.35% in a recent ICAO audit, far exceeding the global average of 70.50%.
The assessment, conducted from August 27 to September 8, 2025, covered key areas like aviation legislation, aircraft operations, airworthiness, and air navigation services.
This marks significant progress since Thailand was placed under ICAO’s “Red Flag” in 2015 due to 33 safety concerns, with its Effective Implementation score rising from 33.53% to 91.35% over a decade.
The results reflect strong institutional capacity, modern legal frameworks, and collaboration across aviation stakeholders.
ICAO is expected to release the official report by February 2026, and Thailand may face a longer interval before its next audit.
