A Texas man was charged with first-degree assault after attacking a coworker, causing severe injuries, in Nebraska.
A 19-year-old Texas man, Jesus Leyva Jr., has been charged with felony first-degree assault after a fight outside a Kearney, Nebraska, arcade early Sunday.
Police responded just before 1 a.m. to reports of a man bleeding on the ground; the victim, a coworker, suffered multiple facial fractures, lacerations, and a concussion.
Surveillance footage showed the altercation began as mutual but escalated when Leyva continued striking the unconscious victim.
He was arrested near a Tractor Supply store, booked into Buffalo County Jail, and given a $100,000 bond with 10% due for release.
His next court date is November 18.
