Sydney police arrested three men in a $260M drug bust involving 500kg of drugs and weapons, linked to a transnational crime ring.
Police in Sydney have arrested three men following a $260 million drug bust involving nearly half a tonne of methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and MDMA, along with firearms, ammunition, a ballistic vest, and $450,000 in cash across multiple safe houses.
The operation targeted a transnational organized crime network believed to operate from Southeast Asia and is linked to ongoing investigations into a failed daycare attack in October and the April murder of a Bankstown woman.
Two suspects, aged 19 and 26, were charged with large-scale drug supply and criminal group participation and denied bail; the third, also 26, faces charges related to drug supply and handling proceeds of crime.
Authorities say the case remains active, with more charges expected.
