Stellantis to invest $13B in U.S. plants, creating 5,000 jobs and launching 5 new vehicles by 2028.
Stellantis announced a $13 billion investment over four years to expand U.S. manufacturing, the largest in the company’s history, aiming to boost annual vehicle production by 50%, add over 5,000 jobs, and launch five new vehicles.
Key projects include reopening the Belvidere, Illinois, plant for Jeep models starting in 2027, shifting a midsize truck to Toledo, Ohio, by 2028, building a range-extended EV and ICE SUV in Warren, Michigan, preparing Detroit for the next-generation Dodge Durango, and producing a new engine in Kokomo, Indiana, beginning in 2026.
The investment supports 19 product and production upgrades across 14 states and builds on earlier commitments, pending final approvals with local governments.
