Singapore warns consumers about DNA Brands over $980K in complaints, high-pressure sales, and misleading practices.
Singapore’s consumer watchdog, CASE, has flagged DNA Brands Co., operator of Beautique and The Mineral Boutique, over 53 complaints totaling over $980,000 from August 2024 to October 2025.
Allegations include high-pressure sales, misleading practices, and excessive purchases, with some customers—especially seniors—reporting charges up to $370,000.
CASE referred the case to Singapore’s Competition and Consumer Commission for investigation, placed DNA Brands on its alert list, and urged consumers to use CaseTrust-accredited providers offering a five-day cooling-off period.
The company declined a voluntary compliance agreement but agreed to mediation.
CASE continues to push for a mandatory cooling-off period for prepaid beauty services.
