The New England Patriots signed rookie tight end Marshall Lang to their practice squad ahead of Week 7, releasing defensive back Tyron Herring and tight end Gee Scott Jr. to make room.
Lang, a 6-foot-4, 252-pounder from Northwestern, was previously with the Seattle Seahawks after playing 47 college games with 48 receptions, 491 yards, and four touchdowns.
Herring, 24, joined the Patriots in September after being released by Green Bay, while Scott, also 24, was re-signed after initial training camp cuts.
The moves reflect ongoing roster adjustments as the team prepares for the 2025 NFL season.
