Ohio is awarding $279,750 in grant funding to provide free advanced traffic safety and impaired driving training to law enforcement officers statewide.
The Ohio Department of Public Safety, through Attorney General Dave Yost, is funding seven NHTSA-approved courses at the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy, including impaired driving enforcement, crash investigation, and radar/lidar operation.
The training, available through September 2026, aims to improve traffic safety, enhance crash investigations, and reduce impaired driving incidents.
