On October 10, 2025, Global Media Alliance and Women in PR Ghana hosted the Read4Her Future event at Dzorwulu A & B Primary School in Accra, engaging 100 girls from Primary 4 to 6 in literacy and mentorship activities ahead of the International Day of the Girl Child.
Centered on the theme “The girl I am, the change I lead: Girls on the frontlines of crisis,” the event featured reading and discussion of *Afi and Kodjo: A Christmas Discovery* by Ophelia Mawuena Ammamoo, mentorship on self-expression and kindness, and a talk on menstrual health.
Selected Reading Ambassadors pledged to promote reading, GMA donated books to create a school library corner, and sanitary pads were provided.
The event concluded with refreshments and was praised for boosting girls’ confidence and leadership.
