Mitsubishi to launch electric SUV in Australia by late 2026, using a new platform and design.
Mitsubishi will unveil an electric SUV concept at the Tokyo Mobility Show on October 29, 2025, signaling its push into electrification.
The concept, featuring angular styling and thin LED lights, previews a future small electric SUV planned for Australia by late 2026.
Developed with Foxtron and built in Taiwan by Yulon Motor, the vehicle will use the Foxtron Model B platform, be designed by Pininfarina, and offer over 425km of range on a 60kWh battery.
It will join Mitsubishi’s multi-powertrain lineup under its Momentum 2030 strategy.
The current Eclipse Cross and Pajero Sport were discontinued in Australia in 2024 due to new safety rules, with dealer stock expected to run out by year-end.
The European electric Eclipse Cross is not yet available in Australia.
