HYBE founder Bang Si Hyuk, worth $2.5 billion, is South Korea’s richest IPO founder but faces stock fraud charges and travel bans.
Bang Si Hyuk, founder of South Korea’s HYBE entertainment company, ranks as the wealthiest founder among newly listed firms in the country, with a 31.6% stake in HYBE valued at approximately $2.5 billion as of September 30, 2025, according to CEO Score data.
His holdings, the largest among post-2020 IPO founders, represent 15.6% of the total stock value held by the top 100 such founders, whose combined worth reached KRW 22.48 trillion.
The ranking underscores HYBE’s market success and Bang’s pivotal role in the company’s growth.
Despite his financial achievements, he remains under investigation for alleged stock fraud and has been barred from leaving South Korea since August 11, which he denies.
