Eight activists detained Anglian Water CEO Mark Thurston at a London station over sewage pollution, but he was not charged.
On October 15, 2025, Mark Thurston, CEO of Anglian Water, was the subject of a citizen’s arrest at a London train station by eight women activists who accused him of public nuisance due to environmental damage and illegal sewage spills.
The group, led by Isabel Rock, detained him for 57 minutes, presented evidence, and called police, who responded but did not make an arrest.
The incident, part of a broader campaign targeting water company executives over pollution and corporate accountability, follows a similar protest last week.
Anglian Water did not comment, and British Transport Police confirmed no charges were filed.
