Danish firm Eurowind Energy plans to develop 1 gigawatt of wind power in Romania by 2030, aiming to support the country’s clean energy transition. Meanwhile, Electrica completed the 27.056 MW Satu Mare 2 solar park, investing over €20 million with funding from Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan. NEPI Rockcastle also plans a €70 million investment in two new solar parks. These developments reflect growing private and international interest in Romania’s renewable energy sector despite economic challenges.
