Trident sells UK defense unit AGI to DC Capital Partners for focus on U.S. Navy work.
Trident Maritime Systems has sold its UK subsidiary, Aeronautical & General Instruments (AGI), to private equity firm DC Capital Partners.
AGI, founded in 1915, supplies advanced electronic systems for naval landing, navigation, and communications to U.S., U.K., and allied navies.
The divestiture allows Trident to focus on U.S. Navy shipbuilding and sustainment efforts.
Joe Mullen, Trident’s CEO, said the move strengthens the company’s strategic focus, while David Hyde, AGI’s CEO, expressed optimism for future growth under DC Capital.
