Tata Electronics buys Justech Precision’s Indian unit for $100M, boosting Apple iPhone production in India.
Tata Electronics has acquired the Indian unit of China’s Justech Precision for about $100 million, completing the deal in August.
The purchase expands Tata’s role in Apple’s supply chain by adding manufacturing capabilities for industrial equipment used in iPhone assembly.
Based in Tamil Nadu since 2019, Justech has supplied Apple since 2008.
This follows Tata’s earlier acquisitions of stakes in Pegatron and Wistron’s Indian units, boosting its iPhone production capacity.
Apple aims to make all iPhones sold in the U.S. in India by 2026, driving rapid growth in local manufacturing.
India is expected to account for 26% of global iPhone shipments by end-2025.
