Salvador Ramos Gamez sentenced to 40 years for head-on crash that killed two women while driving drunk.
Salvador Ramos Gamez, 52, was sentenced to 40 years in prison for intoxication manslaughter after a June 2024 head-on crash on Highway 69, where he was driving the wrong way.
The collision killed two Beaumont women, 20-year-old Camille Alayna Marti and 25-year-old Loren Dayle Icenhower-Starks.
Gamez received two 20-year sentences for the fatalities, served consecutively, and a 10-year sentence for a third DWI conviction, which runs concurrently with one of the 20-year terms.
He pleaded guilty in Jefferson County Court.
