As of October 13, 2025, Nigeria’s Host Community Development Trust fund reached ₦373 billion, with 536 projects underway in oil-producing regions, funded by oil companies under the Petroleum Industry Act.

In Rivers State, over 10 major projects—including schools, hospitals, roads, and a water factory—were completed under the Obagi HCDT, with TotalEnergies leading implementation.
