A new charitable fund, the Sarah Nelson Fund, has launched in Cumbria to support local nonprofits with grants up to £5,000 for initiatives tackling homelessness, education, business development, and food poverty.
Inspired by Sarah Nelson, creator of Grasmere Gingerbread, the fund is managed by the Cumbria Community Foundation, which distributes around £7 million annually through over 100 funds.
Open to registered charities and voluntary groups, applications can be submitted online or by contacting the foundation directly.
