Nearly 2,000 bus drivers in Greater Manchester accepted a new pay deal, ending strikes and averting service disruptions.
Bus strikes in Greater Manchester’s Bee Network have been called off after nearly 2,000 drivers accepted a new pay deal.
The agreement includes a 12% pay rise over two years, with a 5.9% increase backdated to April 2025 and another 5.9% set for April 2026, covering all pay rates.
New drivers will now receive full pay after six to 12 weeks of training, replacing a previous 12-month period.
Additional benefits include improved Christmas pay and time off in lieu.
The resolution averts further disruptions to around 190 services.
