A head-on crash on U.S. Route 1 in Woolwich, Maine, on Sunday evening left 71-year-old Deborah Webster seriously injured after a 2018 Ford F-150 driven by 33-year-old Porter Sickels crossed the center line and struck her 2007 Toyota 4Runner. The impact caused the Toyota to spin into the southbound breakdown lane, and Webster was airlifted to Maine Medical Center. Sickels, who sustained minor injuries, was charged with aggravated operating under the influence with serious bodily injury, a felony, and held on $10,000 bail. The roadway was closed for over three hours and reopened by 9:30 p.m. The Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
