Google updates Search to group and label ads clearly, letting users hide them with one click.
Google is rolling out a global update to Search that groups sponsored results under a single "Sponsored results" label, with a new "Hide sponsored results" button allowing users to collapse all ads with one click.
The change, now available on desktop and mobile, places organic results between ads and limits each sponsored group to no more than four ads, improving clarity and reducing clutter.
Ads are now clearly labeled, including "Sponsored products" for Shopping ads, and appear above or below AI Overviews.
