Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has suspended Lesiba Arnold Malotana, head of the provincial health department, amid an SIU investigation into alleged tender corruption and R725 million in underspending. Dr. Darion Barclay has been appointed acting head to ensure service continuity. The government reaffirmed its support for the SIU and commitment to accountability, transparency, and ethical leadership.
