The inaugural AFL ACT/NSW Champion of Champions tournament featured top under-16 and under-17 junior teams from across the region competing at Boomanulla Oval and Patches Park in Canberra. Organized by AFL NSW/ACT, the event highlighted team performance over individual accolades, offering free entry, livestreaming, and support for players and umpires. The Figtree Kangaroos won the girls’ final, while the Narrandera Eagles claimed the boys’ title. Over 5,000 online views underscored its reach, with standout performances from players like Ayla Clerget, Tasmia Boddington, Joshua Perry, and Ben Kopievsky. Strong winds impacted scoring, but teams from multiple regions showcased talent. The event also advanced umpire development and will expand in 2026.
