Egypt's Grand Egyptian Museum near the Giza pyramids will close from October 15 to November 3 ahead of its official opening on November 1, with a public reopening set for November 4.
The museum, described as the world’s largest archaeological museum dedicated to a single civilization, has undergone a nearly year-long soft opening featuring 12 galleries.
The Tutankhamun Hall remains closed during this period to preserve its role as the centerpiece, where the pharaoh’s full collection of 5,398 artifacts—including his golden mask and two coffins—will be displayed.
