A deer hit by a car was safely rescued from an I-75 barrier gap in Michigan.

A 4-point buck struck by a car became trapped in a narrow gap between concrete barriers on I-75 in Auburn Hills, Michigan, on October 13, 2025. After a motorist reported the animal, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team used technical equipment to safely extract it over nearly an hour. The deer, bruised but uninjured, was transported by animal control to Bald Mountain Recreation Area and released. Lane closures were implemented during the rescue, which officials credited to the team’s skill and coordination.
