British citizen Lindsay Foreman transferred from Qarchak to Evin Prison in Tehran amid concerns over her health and treatment.
British national Lindsay Foreman, detained in Iran since January on spying charges, has been transferred from Qarchak women’s prison to Evin Prison in Tehran, where her husband Craig is held.
The move follows reports of protests, hunger strikes, and deaths at Qarchak due to inadequate medical care.
The couple, both 52, were arrested during a motorbike trip and have not had contact with family since August.
Their son says the transfer may improve access to communication and care, though Evin remains a high-risk facility.
The family denies the espionage charges, calling Lindsay innocent, and is urging the UK government to act, with a meeting scheduled with Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper.
No verdict has been issued after a court appearance on September 27.
