Brad Guzan, 41, has retired after a 21-year professional soccer career, concluding his final season with Atlanta United in their regular-season finale against D.C. United. The veteran goalkeeper, who made his debut in 2005 with Chivas USA, played 201 matches in England for Aston Villa, Hull City, and Middlesbrough, including 171 Premier League appearances. He joined Atlanta United in 2017, becoming a franchise cornerstone with 61 shutouts and 223 starts—both club records—and winning the 2018 MLS Cup, along with the U.S. Open Cup and Campeones Cup in 2019.
