Air India Express will launch a daily direct flight between Agartala, Tripura, and Bagdogra, West Bengal, starting October 26, using a 180-seat Boeing aircraft.
The route, part of the winter schedule, will operate with departures from Bagdogra at 4:30 PM and Agartala at 6:10 PM, arriving in Agartala at 5:40 PM and Bagdogra at 7:20 PM.
The service aims to boost tourism and trade by improving access to North Bengal destinations like Darjeeling and Sikkim, with affordable fares and bookings now open.
To launch the route, Air India Express will temporarily suspend its Agartala-Guwahati flight, though Guwahati remains connected via IndiGo and Akasa Air.
The move is welcomed by tourism stakeholders as a boost to regional economic and cultural ties.
