A UK woman must prove she can safely keep her banned pitbull or face euthanasia.

A Wiltshire woman, Danielle Hunt, must prove within eight weeks she can responsibly own her American Pitbull Terrier, Archie, or face the dog’s destruction. Banned under the UK’s Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, Archie lacks an exemption certificate. Swindon Magistrates' Court ordered Hunt to keep the dog on a lead held by someone at least 16, muzzled in public, micro-chipped, insured, and obtain the exemption within two months. Failure to comply will result in the dog being put down.
